On Wednesday, August 8, 2024, Mayor of Freetown, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr met with the World Bank’s Third Inclusive and Sustainable Growth Financing DPO Technical Mission to Sierra Leone and discussed key priority areas for support, aligning with FCC’s Transform Freetown-Transforming Lives 2024-2028 Development Plan. The plan aims to facilitate the creation of 120,000 good green jobs for women and youth. It was a constructive engagement and FCC is pleased that the World Bank intends to consolidate and scale up successful interventions in afforestation and waste management.
