Partnering with businesses to transform our city

Road traffic and congestion is a significant hindrance to economic activity. The lack of secure parking for staff and customers is also a common complaint of many businesses.

In order to improve these issues, Freetown City Council is piloting a street parking scheme that provides permanent parking bays and enforcement support to businesses. This comes in the form of an annual subscription, with a fee of Le 2.1m per parking bay per year. Once payment is made, the council marks out the bays, supplies signposts and provides rapid response to incidents.

The ongoing pilot is within the CBD area, but there are plans to expand to other parts of the city. If you are interested in securing parking bays around your premises, please contact +232 76 404 979
