Partnering with businesses to transform our city

All businesses are required to pay an annual license fee in order to operate in Freetown. These fees are used to support work focused on improving the city’s business environment, especially with regards to skills development and infrastructure.

Each business should receive a demand notice detailing payment amounts. Payment is due by June 30 and must be made to the bank.

Freetown City Council has the right to shut down any business that has not paid its license fee. If you have not received a demand note by April 30 or would like to make any other enquiry, please visit us at the council, contact us on +232 76 404 979 or fill out a form below.
