Kweku Melvin Lisk Esq

Kweku Melvin Lisk Esq was elected as Deputy Mayor of the Freetown Municipality and took office on the 30th of October, 2023.

Kweku Lisk Esq is the managing partner at BMT Law Chambers which was founded by Hon. Justice Browne-Marke JSC who was later joined by Hon Glenna Thompson JSC. Kweku Melvin Lisk was born in Freetown and he attended the Sierra Leone Grammar School, Freetown.

He graduated with LLB Honors from the University of Wolver Hampton, United Kingdom. He later attended the Sierra Leone Law School after which he was admitted into the Roll of Barristers and Solicitors of the High Court of Sierra Leone.

Kweku Lisk Esq has practiced law for two decades in Sierra Leone with great experience in International trade, corporate, admiralty and intellectual property law. With his extensive knowledge of the regulatory environment and through international partners he has advised and worked with multinationals and international clients like Hilton Hotels Worldwide, British Midland airways (BMI), WAICA RE, Taffugura Baheer BV, Dynamiq, Black Rock Investments, Bank of China, AMR GOLD (SL) Limited. He was also part of the creation of African Minerals which provided jobs for hundreds of Sierra Leoneans.

Kweku Lisk Esq is definitely no stranger to the Oil and Gas sector as he has worked with companies like Mano Oil, Africa Petroleum, European Hydro carbonate, HIR Petroleum, Tullow Oil and Eco petrol in areas of incorporation, due diligence, compliance, partnership, bid submissions, structure and National Petroleum Leases and Joint Ventures.

In 2008, Kweku Lisk Esq became Chairman of AWOL Sierra Leone with the Motto: Put Salone first. This is a community based organization which acknowledges the contribution of diverse group of Sierra Leoneans to the development of the country.
