As part of our commitment to human capital development in our city, Freetown City Council (FCC) partnered with Emerging Leaders UK to deliver an impactful three-day Leadership for Life training program on 29th, 30th and 31st October.

The 215 youth and women participants were selected from our city markets, universities and local communities ensuring wide representation and access to youth and women with varying levels of formal education.

The training which covered “Personal Leadership, Managing Your Money, and Managing Small Projects”, will help participants make better life decisions and increase their capacity to run their own businesses or gain employment.

Last week’s Leadership for Life training program was a practical intervention that supports delivery of our Transform Freetown – Transforming Lives target to create 120,000 decent jobs for women and youth by 2028. FCC will continue to facilitate the delivery of soft and hard skills training for youth and women in the coming months and years as we work together to achieve our job creation target!
