Mayor Aki-Sawyerr, On Behalf of Freetown City Council, Donated Cooking Provisions to Some of Freetown’s Most Vulnerable!

Residents of about 6000 households will sleep better tonight after Mayor Aki-Sawyerr, on behalf of Freetown City Council, donated cooking provisions to some of Freetown’s most vulnerable!
Three informal settlements, Rokupr, Crab Tong-Kolleh Town-Grey Bush (CKG) and Cockle Bay received 50 bags of rice, 15 bags of onions and other cooking provisions for their most vulnerable to use over the three-day lockdown period. The recipients included the elderly, pregnant women, persons with disability and female heads of households.
The donation is part of Freetown City Council’s efforts to improve service delivery to its residents, particularly the most vulnerable, during the period of uncertainty caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Present were Councillors and staff of Freetown City Council who supported the Mayor when she made the donations.
Many thanks to GOAL SL and Flash Vehicles for providing support to Freetown City Council to make these donations.
