Local Tax is compulsory for every adult, 18 years and above, according to the Local Government Act sections 59, 56, 57, 69 and 80 which gives Council the power to collect local taxes, business licenses and property taxes within the Municipality of Freetown.
The local tax for the 2020 fiscal year is Le10,000. Residents can make payment to a tax collector at FCC or via mobile money;
