Mayor of Freetown, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr OBE, on August 29, 2024, expressed appreciation to His Excellency Manuel Alexander Muller, the European Union’s outgoing Ambassador to Sierra Leone, for his role in lifting the bars of cooperation between the EU and Sierra Leone as he concludes his tour of duty.

During the meeting with Ambassador Muller, Mayor Aki-Sawyerr also expressed appreciation for the EU’s ongoing support of Freetown’s development programmes. Ambassador Muller thanked Mayor Aki-Sawyer for her strong partnership and collaboration with the EU in the implementation of numerous development activities in the city.
