On Friday 24th January, Marcus Olsson, on behalf of Affixed Productions, unveiled his latest artwork at Jomo Kenyatta Road in the presence of Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr.

The mural celebrates Sierra Leone’s high religious tolerance, which manifests itself through the many inter-faith marriages and families. The mural is also meant to increase motivation for religious tolerance around the world.

Olsson is a talented artist with international recognition, dedicated to showcasing the beauty of Sierra Leone in collaboration with other renowned artists. In 2018, he worked together with Vhils, a renowned Portuguese street artist on the first installation.
The latest installation features the work of renowned artist, Sydey G.James, who came to Sierra Leone for the first time from the United States, together with the work of local artists, Hawa Jane and Felix Rhodes.

A three-day project, the mural was created just in time for the first anniversary of the launch of #TransformFreetown, and it supports the beautification of Freetown, a key component of FCC’s #TransformFreetown Agenda.

In addition to producing the murals, Affixed Productions facilitated art workshops for students in the Kroo Bay and George Brook.

The three murals are exhibited opposite the Sierra Leone museum, adjacent to the first mural organized by Affixed Productions – produced in conjunction with the We Yone Child Foundation and the Sierra Leone Peace Museum.
