Today, Saturday 24 January, FCC carried out a market cleaning exercise at Portee Market as part of the #DortiMusGo campaign to keep Freetown cleaner. The activity, attended by Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr OBE, Councillor Zainab Conteh, market women, and FCC-approved waste service provider, also forms part of The Carter Center’s Inform Women, Transform Lives campaign promoting women’s access to vital public information through the #8244 helpline.

Using humor as a powerful sensitisation tool, Faculty the Comedian helped drive home key sanitation messages. FCC encourages all residents to manage their waste responsibly and register with approved waste service providers.
