Freetown City Council staff are currently on major radio and television stations across the city to appeal to the public against the rampant burning of garbage after the national cleaning exercise. This practice poses serious problems for both the environment and the health of the residents of Freetown, contrary to what the cleaning exercise is meant to achieve.
